We are very excited about our Melody Meatmaster cattle as they have performed beyond our expectations!
On pasture, the combination of traits from the Jersey, Zebu and American Aberdeen, require minimal input. They exhibit great feed efficiency, heat, fly and parasite resistance and tremendous mothering ability. Their easy going temperaments and well-formed udders last them well into their teens and their calves still look great! We are not sure how many years they will produce as one of the original stock was sold at 24, bred with calf at side and was breeding back the next year when she was lost due to an accident. Her daughters are all still producing.
The steers can produce choice carcasses on grass alone.
These animals have been sent to many southern states and are in South America!
As we breed year-round, registered stock is always for sale.
