Melody’s “Bed and Catch Your Breakfast” is set on a beautiful 12-acre lake in the Piney Woods of East Texas and offered on AirBNB and VRBO – a fantastic vacationing spot for the whole family. Many other attractions are in the area as well that our guest have loved, i.e. the Palestine train ride, Safari park, Mission Tejas and Davey Crockett Park.

Melody Acres has been raising livestock since 1982. We’ll be here till the cows come home!

“Patricia’s farm and private lake was a hit for our 15 and 11 year old. Plenty of room for 5. Her quick communication was great. We enjoyed the weekend fishing and feeding the cows. She gave us fire wood and graham crackers when we ran out, we didn’t need to leave the farm the entire weekend. Bonus there were farm fresh eggs in the fridge! “Patricia and Isauro are a valuable resource of knowledge on all aspects of what they raise and grow at their ranch. Our neighbor had purchased some of their beautiful lowlines which led me to contact Patricia and Isauro. We were interested in their lines of cattle breeding and as we toured the ranch Patti explained the different types and purpose of each type of breed. They know each one of their cows and can tell you the lineage and personality of each one. I have been raised around cattle and was impressed with how healthy and calm all the cattle were as we visited the different pastures. Our other interests are in gardening and bees which Patti and Isa graciously spent the time giving us tours as well as sharing their experiences and techniques. I am a Master Gardener and Master Naturalist and greatly appreciate the techniques that Patti and Isa have used to develop this beautiful and functional sustainable farm and ranch.
